ELC Philosophy & Mission

Our mission is to help families grow Alive in Christ.

A Place for Growth

We hope to foster healthy living habits in our students, and to share the fullness of life in Christ with the community.

Some daily habits are physical, such as taking care of our classroom and our own bodies. Others are emotional, like checking in with others before interrupting their plans. And still others are spiritual, like our daily prayers.

ELC Staff is charged with upholding the church's value of giving grace upon grace, which helps children to feel safe and loved. Children are encouraged to boldly try new things, to fail without criticism, and to persist in trying, so that they can grow. The evidence of this growth is their ability to share that growth with others - to teach and multiply the learning.

Our program delights in the beauty of God's creation.  We spend lots of time outside in our garden, nature trail, and natural playground.  Nature reflects its Creator, and helps us to focus on Him and His design for us.  More time outdoors has also been linked to improved attention, lower stress, better mood, and even increased empathy.

Finally, Children learn best through play.  It is our job to provide them with a safe, stimulating, and challenging environment so they can learn through their natural curiosity.

Our Vision

Our aim is not to cater only to Christian families, but instead to provide a Christ-centered environment to everyone who enters.  Our staff is here to love on the families regardless of church affiliation, and to provide opportunities to live more vibrantly. We want to develop deep relationships with the families we serve so that discipleship relationships naturally develop.
